Started playing fiddle at age 7. Started competing nationally at age nine. At age 12 made the top 5 at the Canadian Open Old Time Fiddle Contest in Shelburne, Ontario.

 

4 time invitee representative of Nova Scotia to the Canadian Grand Masters Fiddling Championships.  At age 12 First Junior Member on the board of directors for the Maritime Fiddlers Association.  2 time Eastern Canadian Bluegrass Fiddle Player of the Year.  Toured North America with country show band from Nova Scotia "Country Generations".  Played on many recordings nationally including 5 in Nashville at such famous studios as Fireside and Chelsie. Played on the the 2002 #1 hit in Australia "The Bottom Line".
