From the Buffalo Lake Metis Settlement, Mathew has been playing professionally for nearly two decades. He has performed across Canada, from the Arctic town of Inuvik, N.W.T, to the historic city of Montreal, QB and even as far down as the city that never sleeps, New York, NY.

He started playing drums at an early age, touring with various metal/punk/hardcore bands from Edmonton. When he turned eighteen, he washed his clothes, brushed his hair, grabbed a ragged old acoustic guitar and went back to his roots playing classic hits from Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash and Steve Earl with his father's band CC and High Ryder.

Throughout his musical journey he has played over 2000+ shows, from festivals like 'The Van's Warped tour', 'Midway Lake Music Festival', 'Yesterday was Everything' and the 'Calgary Stampede', to various parades, weddings, corporate, and main stage gigs.

Having experience in all genres, and having the honour of playing onstage with some of the greatest musicians, he could never thank his greatest mentors, his parents, for teaching him the beautiful language of music.
